Glenn D. Aragon

Glenn D. Aragon, Sr. a well known metal sculpture artist is an Eastern Shoshone/Pend d'Oreille native from Wind River Indian Reservation located in Wyoming, he has worked as a welder and artist for over 35 years.

Glenn is a graduate of Salish Kootenai College (SKC) in Pablo, Montana and is currently an art instructor specializing in metal sculpture. Students are attracted to his classes where he helps them realize their hidden talents.

Many of Aragon's sculptures are on display in the Art Building and on the surrounding grounds at SKC including a thirty foot eagle feather, an eight foot wide eagle, two life size Native Indian Dancers and two life size buffalo fighting.

His work is shown in galleries throughout Wyoming and Montana and is part of art collections of private individuals, businesses and organizations, including a sculpture in the Forestry Building of the United States Department of Forestry in Washington, DC.

Glenn has a passion to work with metal. He can do just about any form of metal art work. Glenn’s artwork has been on display at the Sandpiper Art Gallery in Polson. Currently his art is on display at Current Exhibit Of Fine Art, Northwest Healthcare Healing Arts Gallery at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center. The show is Living With The Animals. Several fine arts exhibits are scheduled to be displayed through out the next coming years.

Glenn graduated from an Indianpreneur class. He won the Business Plan competition and was awarded $500. With the State Equity fund, Glenn was granted $3275 to purchase equipment for his business.
